The cost to build your own home in the UK varies depending on the size of the property and the complexity of the project. We don’t use standard blueprints and templates as every build is unique – and therefore the pricing is unique too. We’re a one-stop shop providing turnkey building solutions, which means everything you need to turn your idea into reality is covered in the cost. As required, this includes the design, planning, construction, plumbing, joining, electrical work, plastering and decoration – all of which we’ll manage based on your needs and preferences.
Yes, you’ll often need a larger deposit to get a mortgage on a custom or self build property, and you may even need to take out a bridging loan or construction loan. If that’s the case, we’ll be happy to advise ahead of construction.
Custom build is when you hire a builder to construct your house based on specific design requirements. You’ll work with an architect to create the design and hire custom house builders to complete the construction.
For a self build, you take on the responsibility and management of building your house yourself, including purchasing the land, designing the house and hiring subcontractors.
